Website

The Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) provides publicly funded social services for people in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny County. The department's purpose is to support people during their most vulnerable times by preventing and resolving crises; helping children and youth grow up safer and healthier; supporting adults to live more securely and independently; and advocating for support and services so that people in Allegheny County can thrive.

DHS is the largest human services funder in the region, serving more than 200,000 residents each year through more than 300 community-based agencies.
