How We Support Labs to Innovate and Scale

Our investments in impact labs spur collaborative teams to jointly frame problems, develop learning agendas, generate and test hypotheses, iterate on intervention strategies, and scale solutions.

As a funder uniquely positioned within the university, SIL believes in three key tenets to activate the role of social science research for impact: successful and equitable partnerships, a mindset to iterate on pathways to scale success, and strong organizational development practices to tether a team together.

In addition to the financial resources SIL commits to impact labs, we also provide tailored support designed to help funded teams: 

• Deepen equitable partnerships 
• Develop and deploy scaling strategies
• Unlock innovation in the ecosystem of the issues they are working on 

Our Innovation & Partnerships team offers these services through virtual and in-person group workshops, individualized coaching and strategy sessions, and tailor-made facilitation services. Funded teams are invited to lean into capacity-building support when they need it, both privately and in community with other impact labs.
