Kate Green Tripp

I’m thrilled to welcome Kate Green Tripp as the director of strategic outreach and communications for Stanford Impact Labs (SIL).

In three years, SIL has grown from an idea to a broad-based initiative putting science to work on the front lines of issues like poverty, unequal access to healthcare and education, and political polarization.

The SIL team has also grown in turn—so as to more holistically support our partners and scholars as they design innovative solutions to pressing social problems. We are delighted to add Kate’s perspective and experience to the mix at this pivotal moment.

Throughout her career as a writer, editor, and co-creator of health and well-being initiatives, Kate has been driven by a commitment to the public good. She comes to Stanford from Medium, where she evolved her capacity to spot and shepherd impactful science stories and work in close editorial collaboration with academics and subject matter experts. Kate holds a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a Master’s degree in social policy from the University of Sydney

Under Kate’s direction, we look forward to showcasing the stories of SIL’s labs and fellows; evolving new ways to collaborate with solutions-oriented change agents; and inviting broader participation in our model.
