Malaria continues to claim hundreds of thousands of deaths per year, mostly among African infants and children. Recent advances in immunology and vaccine development have paved the way for innovative approaches to malaria prevention but the translation of these scientific breakthroughs into tangible health benefits requires more than just successful clinical trials. Professor Jagannathan will work with partners to develop the policy frameworks, funding mechanisms, and effective implementation strategies that are needed to move from scientific innovation to roll-out across different regions.
