Nina Brooks is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Global Health at the Boston University School of Public Health. She is also a Faculty Affiliate at the Human Capital Initiative at the BU Global Development Policy Center, the BU SPH Center for Climate and Health, and the BU Institute for Global Sustainability.

Her research examines how climate change and air pollution impact health and well-being in the Global South, with a focus on actionable mitigation and adaptation strategies. She uses methods from economics, epidemiology, demography, data science, and geography. Her work centers on environmental threats to human well-being and solutions to address them, with gender as a cross-cutting theme.

She serves as Section Editor for the Data Science section at Current Environmental Health Reports and has held previous academic and research positions in public policy and global sustainability.
