Racial and political conflict in the US: Intergroup conflict, especially as it relates to political ideology and polarization, has once again intensified in the United States. My research aims to address these tensions by identifying antecedents and the symbolic meanings and mechanisms behind these conflicts with the hope that we can identify new approaches to address the deep political and out-group hostilities we are experiencing.
