Women's labor force in Arab societies: Economic autonomy is associated with gender egalitarianism in societies around the world. This project explores impediments to women's labor force participation in Arab countries where rates of women in the workplace are among the world's lowest. Designing interventions to counter those impediments provides an important opportunity to influence social change in Arab societies.
