Khalid K. Osman

I have a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. My research focuses on the operationalization of equity in the provision of infrastructure services. During my PhD, I focused primarily on water sector infrastructure, challenging myself to develop a consistent and measurable definition of water equity, developed frameworks for equity in the adoption of new water technologies, and investigated equitable communication strategies by water utilities during disasters. I am excited to lead Osman Lab to develop new approaches to equitable infrastructure in a world where climate change challenges vulnerable communities every day.
