Increasing drug price transparency for patients and providers: Health care pricing in the U.S. is opaque and few patients and providers have access to prescription drug costs associated with proposed plans of care. Katja will collaborate with a large health care system to evaluate a real-time drug pricing tool that allows physicians to compare out-of-pocket drug costs when consulting with patients in order to improve physicians’ ability to make decisions that are in the best interest of patients and lower patients’ out-of-pocket spending.
