Dr. Jorge Ruiz de Velasco is the Deputy Director of the Gardner Center at Stanford. He is an expert in the promotion of change in public schools and how education reforms affect disadvantaged students. He co-chairs the California Advisory Task Force on Alternative Schools, which advises the State Board of Education.
