Mathematics achievement is critical for students’ lives and the scientific future of the United States, but only 26% of 8th graders are proficient in Maths. The education system currently teaches mathematics in a way that filters students out of high-level pathways from a young age. Professor Boaler will work with educators and parents to promote mathematics teaching best-practices so that students enjoy the subject and achieve at high levels.
