Department: Epidemiology & Population Health
Bangladesh's unique combination of high population density, inadequate sanitation infrastructure, and vulnerability to climate change creates an environment where the impacts of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and climate change on health are likely to be especially severe and far-reaching. Professor Benjamin-Chung will explore partnerships with NGOs and the Government of Bangladesh to help develop effective interventions that reduce the burden of AMR and protect maternal and child health in the face of climate change.
