The physical, psychological, and financial toll of medical illness and its associated healthcare expenses can be devastating for individuals, their families, and society at large. However, many of these negative consequences can be mitigated through patient self-care. Professor Cohen, in collaboration with partners, will focus on creating an affordable and scalable set of social-psychological interventions designed to enhance health outcomes for underserved patient populations.
