David W. Slayton

David Slayton is the Executive Officer/Clerk of Court of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County. He manages the operations of its 36 courthouses, a $1 billion budget and a workforce of more than 5,000 employees. He previously served as the Vice President of Court Consulting Services for the National Center for State Courts. He also served as the Administrative Director of the Office of Court Administration and Executive Director of the Texas Judicial Council. In that role, he led the judiciary’s response to a cyberattack, implemented electronic filing statewide, and oversaw the procurement of a uniform case management system, among other innovations.
