Improving agricultural livelihoods: Smallholder farmers often adopt agricultural technologies without full understanding of their mechanisms, limiting their ability to deploy them optimally. Anirudh, in partnership with Ugandan NGO Agriworks, is experimenting with new farmer outreach programs that incorporate mechanistic explanations, in order to inform the design of agricultural extension services and ultimately improve farmer yields and profits.
