I am focused on understanding and improving sanitation and drinking water systems in rural disadvantaged communities in the U.S. I approach these challenges through the lenses of infrastructure, social, and economic considerations to develop better technical and policy solutions. During my B.S. and M.S. at the University of Illinois, I researched urban water-energy systems and examined opportunities for adoption of non-potable water reuse on a municipal scale. I grew up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and love spending time outside and want to help ensure access to clean air, water, and natural spaces for all people today and into the future.
