Recipient of Stage 2 funding for Bridging Reading Science and Educational Practice, the Rapid Online Assessment of Reading (ROAR) is an ongoing academic research project within Stanford University's Reading and Dyslexia Research Program. 

ROAR is an online platform for assessing foundational reading skills. As a tool for schools, clinics, and researchers, it offers a suite of measures delivered through the web browser that do not require a test administrator. The ROAR rapidly provides highly reliable indices of reading ability consistent with scores on other standardized reading assessments.
