The School of Humanities and Sciences (H&S) at Stanford is the university’s largest school, encompassing 24 departments—from art and art history, English, and history to economics, mathematics, and biology—as well as 25 interdisciplinary programs. H&S supports free and critical thinking across all disciplines, offering endless opportunities to learn about humans, the world in which we live, and ways to make life better.
Stanford Impact Labs is a university-wide initiative established in the School of Humanities and Sciences. Faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD students in H&S are eligible to apply for SIL's funding opportunities and programs.
