Improving abolitionist teacher training: Many teachers seek to incorporate justice-oriented approaches to their teaching, student support, and activism; however, traditional teacher training programs often do not provide this type of preparation. Rubén will work with soon-to-be first-year K-12 teachers of color in a Community of Abolitionist Praxis, a space designed to support their ability to operationalize this abolitionist orientation in their work.
