Dr. Mello is a professor at Stanford Law School and in the School of Medicine’s Department of Health Policy. Dually trained in law and health policy, she studies issues at the nexus of bioethics, health policy, and law. The HEAL-AI project brings together her longstanding lines of research in patient safety, medical liability, and data ethics and governance.
