Jasmyn Burdsall

2025 PHD FELLOW

Stanford Profile

Supporting food sovereignty for Tribal communities: Type 2 diabetes can be prevented and managed with a healthy diet, but for many Tribal communities, removal from ancestral lands, damaged ecosystems, and climate change have reduced access to traditional, healthy foods. In partnership with community stakeholders, Jasmyn will co-create a culturally tailored meals pilot for Indigenous adults in order to improve diabetes management and food security.
