Hanna Yimer

PROGRAM COORDINATOR, EQUITY FORWARD

Hanna is the Equity Forward Program Coordinator at Stanford Impact Labs. Equity Forward is an initiative convened by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation to close the racial wealth divide in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Working closely with the Partnerships Program Manager, Hanna serves as a vital operations team member, facilitating scheduling and backend processes essential to making the Equity Forward Anchor Network function.

Previously, Hanna was a Project Coordinator in the Office of the Chief Information Officer in Stanford University IT (UIT). In that role, she provided strategic planning, logistics support, and creative input for the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access in a Learning community (IDEAL IT) programs and the Business Affairs Racial Justice Initiative, among other projects.

Hanna studied Business Administration for two years at De Anza College before accepting an internship at Year Up, a program designed to close the opportunity divide for young adults from underprivileged backgrounds. Through Year Up, she gained her Project Management Certificate at Mission College and completed an internship with Stanford UIT before going on to join their staff.

Hanna is a lover of the arts, including dance, film, and especially music. Most days, you’ll find her with an airpod in one ear as she listens to inspiring tunes while hard at work.
