Supporting STEM instructors and their students: STEM curriculum, particularly within higher education, historically has not integrated students’ cultural capital, lived experiences, and unique identities. Angelita will work with partners across different U.S. institutions to develop materials that equip instructors with actionable, discipline-specific teaching practices that center students' cultural assets, promote equity and inclusion in STEM classrooms, and support academic achievement.
