Ana Tellez
DIRECTOR, INNOVATION & PARTNERSHIPS
Ana Tellez is Director of Innovation & Partnerships at Stanford Impact Labs. In this role, she leads the strategy to strengthen the capacity of scholars in SIL’s education programs and SIL grantees to advance their pathways for impact as well as leading the strategy for SIL to cultivate a culture of public impact beyond the university.
Ana comes to SIL from a career in public health. She has worked to advance health equity in government, nonprofit, and private sectors. Most recently prior to SIL she served as director of capacity building at Human Impact Partners (HIP), a nonprofit organization working with community organizing groups and health departments to advance racial equity in local and county jurisdictions across the US. She has integrated organizational development practice with a communications strategy lens in her work — earlier working at CommunicateHealth as a digital strategist consultant and at HIP as communications director to leverage research by public health in partnership with base-building advocacy groups for public policy decision making.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a Master’s degree in communication, education, and technology from Columbia University’s Teachers College. She identifies as Mexican American and lives in Berkeley, CA. She loves finding opportunities to dance and participating in immigrant rights advocacy with her family.
