Aarti Kumar

Aarti Kumar serves as the CEO at Community Empowerment Lab (CEL) with a background in engineering and bioinformatics. Ms. Kumar has co-led the design, conduct, analysis, and oversight of several studies including large epidemiological studies, cluster randomized controlled trials and implementation research. 

She has been leading the current expansion and quality improvement program for Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) in Uttar Pradesh. Under her leadership, CEL has established the Partnership for Research in Advancing Maternal and Newborn Health (PRAMAAN) network that includes several medical colleges and educational and research institutes and is dedicated to advancing research of public health relevance, generating local evidence, and contributing to state and national-level policy making.
