Zainab's research focuses on social psychological interventions that reach children facing ongoing adverse life events, with a particular interest in the experiences of children who navigate forced migration. As part of the Dweck-Walton lab, she collaborates with the Behavioral Health Services team at the Oakland Unified School District to study how to adapt interventions that promote supportive teacher-student relationships in a way that meets the specific needs of newcomer refugee high school students.
Zainab Hosseini joins Stanford as a postdoctoral fellow from 2025-2026.
