From Research to Practice - Scalable Solutions for Literacy Assessments: Despite widespread mandates for early reading screening, many schools face resource constraints that limit their ability to administer conventional one-on-one assessments. Sun works with the ROAR (Rapid Online Assessment of Reading) team at the Stanford Graduate School of Education to develop and validate open-access, group-administered literacy assessments that are efficient, scalable, and equitable. Her work integrates theoretical frameworks of literacy development and psychometric research and values collaboration with school and district partnerships to co-develop tools that reflect the needs and diversity of today’s classrooms.
