Nature-based solutions for healthier, more resilient cities: As cities grow and the climate changes, the decline of urban nature threatens public health and deepens social inequities. At the Stanford Natural Capital Project, Yingjie collaborates with ecologists, public health experts, software engineers, and policy leaders to uncover how urban nature supports human well-being. His work identifies where nature can deliver the greatest benefits, and translates this science into actionable strategies for urban planning and policy—helping cities invest in nature as a pathway to healthier, more sustainable, and more equitable futures.
