Strengthening flood resilience: San Mateo County is the most flood-vulnerable county in all of California, and its underserved neighborhoods have disproportionately experienced increased flooding in recent years. In order to improve resilience capacity, Mavis will co-design a county-wide flood map in partnership with local community-based organizations; OneShoreline (the San Mateo County Flood and Sea Level Rise Resiliency District); and ISeeChange (a climate risk data and community engagement start-up).
