Supporting multilingual youth learners: Historically, the language practices of multilingual youth in the United States have been treated with a deficit lens rather than as an asset to leverage in teaching. As part of the EduNLP Lab’s Math Out Loud project (happening in partnership with math teachers in the Bay Area), Liliana will design solutions to support teachers in facilitating the learning experience of multilingual students in math classrooms.
