Lauren Hancock
2025-2026 EVIDENCE FOR POLICY FELLOW
Lauren Hancock is an educator, library administrator, and the Library Manager for the City of Palm Desert, California, where she is contributing to advancing plans for a new library facility.
As a former program administrator with the San José Public Library, Lauren developed and oversaw initiatives in education, digital literacy, and workforce development. Before her career in libraries, Lauren was a project fellow and lecturer at Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school), focusing on student-centered education and professional development for educators.
Fellowship Project: Analyzing community needs to develop and pilot a portfolio of library programs that support workforce and economic development goals.
