Dr. Char is a bioethicist and practicing pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist who holds professorial appointments in Stanford’s Department of Anesthesia and the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics. He authored, with Dr. Shah, one of the first and most widely cited articles anticipating that ethical challenges would occur in introducing AI-HC tools and one of the most widely cited frameworks for examining these ethical challenges.
