Brigiett Guzman

Fellowship Project: Building systems and structures to understand the Kern County entrepreneurship landscape, particularly with respect to business type, location, and owner demographics. Staff will use these systems to understand the impact of past programs and policies, and make recommendations about ways to stimulate further business growth.

About Brigiett: Brigiett is a Fiscal and Policy Analyst serving the County of Kern in California’s Central Valley. As a public servant, she is committed to helping improve residents’ access to the tools and resources communities need to succeed and removing the barriers that limit that access.

In her current role, she focuses on researching and implementing economic development initiatives to achieve regional diversification; targeting, attracting, and retaining new business ventures; and supporting quality job creation. Before joining the County, Brigiett served the City of Bakersfield as an Economic and Community Development Planner, implementing economic development and affordable housing initiatives.
