Ben Goger

Ben Goger serves as Senior Planner - Community Development for Mariposa County, California. Ben has made a life in and around Yosemite in California’s central Sierra, where he worked for the National Park Service in maintenance and historic preservation for nearly two decades. For the last five years, Ben has been investing in his community through County government and is tasked with housing, recreation, and infrastructure planning and development that serves the whole community. His current projects include affordable neighborhoods, tribal strategic planning, active transportation, housing policy, and creative placemaking.

Fellowship Project: Develop a strategy to direct seed funds into a community housing trust fund. This project will involve analysis of best practice of housing trust fund models and community feedback, allowing staff to elevate recommendations that support sustainable community housing policies and programs in Mariposa County.
