Alex Andrade

Fellowship Project: Understanding the impact of a new rental assistance program for low-income households whereby 50 households will receive $645 per month for a total of 24 months. Data collection and analysis during this project will contribute to staff recommendations about program implementation, and future programs and policies focused on housing security. 

 

About Alex: Alex Andrade has been a public servant for 25 years throughout the state of California.  He has a track record of creating a vibrant and competitive business environment to ensure there is a healthy and inclusive local economy providing job opportunities and revenue to local jurisdictions. Alex focuses on building strong relationships with the corporate and real estate communities and the residents of Milpitas. As the Director of Economic Development for the City of Milpitas, Alex has also been leading the Housing team on an interim basis.

Before joining the City of Milpitas, Alex served as the Economic Development Manager for the City of Mountain View and worked for the largest redevelopment agencies in California (in San Jose, Los Angeles, and San Francisco) in project management. He also served as a Program Officer at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) leading their Regional Planning portfolio.
