Market design for parking

Despite the extent and coverage of technological innovation, drivers still need to search for parking. This wastes time, creates congestion and unnecessary emissions. Phedias will partner with Stanford's Transportation Department to evaluate how theories of market design can be used to reduce parking-driven search time,  congestion and emissions. The project aspires to measurable improvements to urban mobility and sustainability through a theory-driven parking market digitization.
