Pearse A. Keane

PROFESSOR, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON AND MOORFIELDS HOSPITAL NHS; DIRECTOR, INSIGHT HEALTH DATA RESEARCH HUB

Dr. Pearse Keane is Professor of Artificial Medical Intelligence at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, and a consultant ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS. He is also Director of the INSIGHT health data research hub programme based at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He has led collaborations to develop AI tools for detecting and treating retinal disease, including an early warning system for age-related macular degeneration and an open-source foundation model for ophthalmology.
