Pearse A. Keane

Dr. Pearse Keane is Professor of Artificial Medical Intelligence at University College London Institute of Ophthalmology, and a consultant ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS. He is also Director of the INSIGHT health data research hub programme based at Moorfields. He has led collaborations to develop AI tools for detecting and treating retinal disease, including an early warning system for age-related macular degeneration and an open-source foundation model for ophthalmology.
