Maya Rossin-Slater is an Associate Professor of Health Policy at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is also a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic and Policy Research (SIEPR), a Faculty Affiliate at the Stanford Center on Early Childhood, a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and a Research Affiliate at the IZA@LISER Network. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University, and her BA in Economics and Statistics from the University of California at Berkeley. She is a health economist who studies issues in maternal, child, and family well-being, social safety net programs, and public policies and other factors affecting disadvantaged populations. She is the recipient of theNational Science Foundation CAREER Award, and the American Economic Association’s Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession 2023 Elaine Bennett Research Prize (awarded to recognize outstanding research in any field of economics by a woman not more than ten years beyond her PhD). She also serves as the PI on several grants from the National Institutes of Health and is a co-editor at the Journal of Human Resources.
