Mark Thurber is Associate Director of the Program on Energy and Sustainable Development (PESD) at Stanford University, where he studies and teaches about energy and environmental markets and policy. He helped develop PESD’s Energy Market Game (EMG), which he uses in Stanford courses and regulator workshops to explore how electricity market design can support the energy transition. Mark also leads PESD’s development of e-learning modules that regulators can use to teach themselves key principles of energy markets. He also studies how more and better-quality energy can be provided to consumers in emerging economies.
