High-quality early childcare is scarce, costly, and inequitably distributed, while the workforce providing it is often low-paid and faces high turnover. Policies meant to fix one side of this system routinely undermine the other. Professor Sadowski will work with state education and early-childcare agencies to help evaluate policies that strengthen both access to childcare and the workforce that sustains it.
