Crystal S. Yang is the Bennett Boskey Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), where she co-directs the Crime Working Group. Her research focuses on empirical law and economics, particularly criminal justice, algorithmic fairness, racial bias, and legal institutions. She previously served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. Her work has been cited by the U.S. Supreme Court and recognized with major teaching and early-career research awards.
