Carter Nakamoto is a PhD candidate in Health Policy at Stanford University in the Evaluative Methods track. At Harvard Medical School, Nakamoto worked with Professor Ateev Mehrotra to characterize and evaluate new modalities of clinical care, including telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, and opioid treatment programs. Their research seeks to use statistical tools to understand how clinical algorithms and technologies impact equity and access in health care and how policy can improve these outcomes.
