2023-2024 EVIDENCE FOR POLICY FELLOW | ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, CITY OF INGLEWOOD

Fellowship Project: Building a strategy to support small businesses’ ability to capitalize on foot traffic from major events. Staff will use data collected during this project to inform small business owners about market opportunities, and make recommendations about programs and policies to serve the Inglewood small business community.

 

About Qiuana: Qiuana Williams is the Economic Development Manager for the City of Inglewood.  As the Economic Development Manager for the City of Inglewood, Qiuana Williams is at the forefront of driving economic regeneration in one of the nation’s most vibrant communities. In her current role, she works to translate the Mayor’s  strategic vision into tangible reality, which involves collaborating closely with the Mayor to devise evidence-based policy and innovative programmatic initiatives to support local small businesses and advocate for sustainable growth that empowers the city's diverse population. Her experience in long-term strategic planning and policy design has been put to use in driving successful business attraction and retention initiatives, bolstering economic revitalization, increasing public safety, enhancing local culture, and supporting dynamic neighborhoods.
